For the residents of Kaushambi entertainment has become a new kind of experience as the Chadha Group recently inaugurated a complete family entertainment package.
They launched Wave 4, Eastend Mall, at Kaushambi on September 27. Claimed to be one of the biggest malls in Delhi-Ghaziabad area, it is built on one lakh square feet area providing floors for entertainment, shopping and eateries, which will have all major brands.
Apart from these, the mall has a four-screen cineplex with a capacity of 1280 seats.
The cinema features the best state-of-the-art equipment picked up from all over the world like the projection systems from Kinoton (Germany), the audio system from Martin Audio (London), the wide high gain screens from Harkness Hall (Germany).
"Proper cinema automation system with focus towards quick and efficient back-ending is another important feature. The mall is also eco-friendly with sustainable designs that have been imported mostly from Europe," informs Ponty Chadha.
"In India we lack the technology that is required for this kind of venture. That is the reason why we imported double layered glass from the Guardian, US, which cuts down 83 per cent heat radiation. Similarly translucent, imported from Israel with five walled, multi-celled, poly-carbonate has been used which allows natural light to filter through but restricts ultraviolet radiation. A complete fire safety measure has also been installed at a cost of Rs.1.7 crore," he adds.
But will the mall inspire awe and restrict the shopping instinct of an average earner?
"No, it is a mixed product shopping that allows every buyer to shop according to his budget. What is more important is the fact that it will not cut a hole in his pocket either. A mall being a hub of a variety of products, prices here are competitive. In fact, at any such place, prices are always lower than a single big store in any market."
